Indiana

Our trip last weekend was definitely a quick one. Elaina and I were greeted by Matt's mom, sister and grandma at the airport. We headed to his parent's house where Elaina enjoyed playing with her cousin Jacoby in her aunt's (auntie's?) belly. Saturday morning, the ladies at Andrea's church threw a very nice baby shower for her. Elaina was a little jet-lagged and decided to take a quick nap. After the shower, we took a tour of Jacoby's nursery and Uncle Adam's sheriff car. Elaina liked the police siren.

This was also the first time Elaina got to meet her Great-Gramma Rust. She's met all her great-grandparents now except for Great-Grampa Rust whom we just missed while in Evansville.
My parents picked up me and Elaina in the afternoon, and we headed to Jasper where Elaina got to play with more cousins. Sunday morning, we went to my parents' church and afterwards, snapped a few pictures of the girls. After two quick visits with my grandparents, it was back to the airport! We arrived in Raleigh-Durham about 10:00pm Sunday night. We immediately headed to bed once we reached home. I was not ready to wake up and work Monday morning. So sleepy...but it was worth it! We don't get to see family very often, so we enjoy every moment of the time we do get to spend together.

Left on a Jet Plane...

Victoria and Elaina left for Indiana this afternoon (My sister's baby shower is tomorrow morning in Newburgh). For those worrying at home, Mom and Baby made it through the flight to Cinci with no problems. Elaina actually slept most of the way. Here are some pix from the airport where Victoria and Elaina are awaiting their connection to Evansville.

Easter

We had a really enjoyable Easter weekend. On Saturday, we colored Easter eggs. Elaina didn't care too much about coloring them, but she really enjoyed rolling them around and putting them in her mouth.

After a nice Easter church service, we snapped a few pictures at home of Elaina's first Easter. We then had dinner with two of the couples from our church small group. Living far away from family, we're very blessed to have great friends to spend special days with. More pictures of our weekend are linked from our "photo galleries" page.

Cereal

I'm a little behind on my posts, and I decided it was time to share some of our recent activities. This post will be brief (it's way past my bedtime, and Matt is already asleep on the couch), but I promise to post Easter pictures soon.

We fed cereal to Elaina for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and she really enjoyed it. She actually was frustrated that I wasn't feeding her fast enough!

New Tricks

While the grandparents were visiting, they took every opportunity available to teach Elaina new tricks. My mom loved that she was able to teach Elaina to blow bubbles. She even caught a video of the new talent.

Mike (Matt's dad) found that Elaina enjoys sitting in the powder room sink. I'm not sure that this is a new trick, but I'm worried about where I'll find her once she is able to climb.
